New York State BMX Hall of Fame

After a few people attended the USA BMX Hall of Fame Ceremony in 2025 a discussion was started on why New York State did not have a BMX Hall of Fame. This initial group continued the discussion and believed it was possible. The conversation was broadened to include others with New York State BMX knowledge, passion and history. By the end of 2025 there were over 40 people originally from across New York State who had committed to support the creation of a New York State BMX Hall of Fame.
Early in 2026 we really started gaining traction, a goal was set to have a New York State BMX Hall of Fame Dinner and Awards Ceremony late in 2026.
To achieve this goal committees were formed to determine nominees in the areas of BMX Racing, BMX Freestyle, BMX Trails and BMX Industry with an initial focus on the people who contributed to New York BMX from the beginnings through 1999, as well as committees for Awards, Event, Fund Raising, Social Media, Venue, etc. We are all dedicating personal time and energy, meeting on a regular basis to make the goal of a New York State BMX Hall of Fame Dinner and Awards Ceremony late in 2026 a reality.
